According to Section 3 (2) PartMigG, a person has a migration background if they themselves or at least one of their parents do not have German citizenship by birth. We live in a migration society. This diversity of Berlin should also be reflected in the employees at HTW Berlin at all levels of work.
If a sufficient number of applications are received from people with a migration background, they will be invited in accordance with their proportion of the Berlin population (proportion 06/2023: 40.1%) and will be given special consideration when hiring.
For this purpose, data is collected on the existence or non-existence of a migration background. If you do not have a migration background, your details are still relevant. This data is special personal data. Your express consent to the processing of this data is therefore required. Answering the question is of course voluntary; you will not suffer any disadvantages as a result of providing or not providing this information. By providing this information, you are helping to achieve the above-mentioned objective.
Your consent can be revoked at any time in writing or electronically at the office issuing the invitation to tender. In this case, your data will be deleted immediately and the deletion confirmed in writing or electronically. Data processing remains lawful until the time of revocation (Section 8 PartMigG).
